Penn Relay News:
Congrats to the HM CYO Track Team for their participation in the Penn Relays in
April. The Junior Boys Relay Team finished in 5th place overall at
the Penn Relays! Hats off to the entire team!!
HMS' School Band is
"Superior": On May 10th, HMS' Advanced Band Members
from grades 5-8 participated in Villanova University's Band Festival and
received a Superior rating for their performance. This outstanding group
of musicians, led by our Band Director Mr. Derrick Banks, has now accomplished
this feat 3 years in a row! Great Job!
Michael Burns - Grade 4:
Michael won the HMS Spelling Bee for grades 4, 5 & 6 and will be
representing our school at the next round of the Houghton Mifflin Archdiocesan
Spelling Bee on April 21, 2008. Good Luck!!
Samantha Nichols - Grade
8: Samantha was selected as Second Chair for Orchestra Bells for
Northeastern Music Program's Honor Band!! Thanks to Mr. Derrick Banks for
his work with all of our Band Members!

Art Contest Winners: Over 180 Schools
participated in this annual contest and the following HMS Students won for
their grade levels. Thanks to our amazing art teacher, Mrs.
Marybeth Hucker, for all of her hard work with the kids!
