Although the two to three school concerts we perform per year often contain secular music, the bulk of our repertoire is religious in nature. HMS Glee members lead the congregational singing at monthly school masses and the Christmas Eve children's mass. Annually, they join the Holy Martyrs Adult Choir and Guitar Group at parish celebrations of First Holy Communion and Confirmation, and have also added their voices to various other liturgies or prayer services. Our community performances have included annual nursing home visits during the Christmas season. In the spring, we've sung a the Oreland-Wyndmoor Little League Parade and Trenton Titans hockey games. Summer brings with it the Oreland Lions Fourth of July Parade and another opportunity for us to sing the national anthem a cappella. We've had tremendous support from our school, our parish and our families at home. They've been generous in giving us the time and space we needed to continue our musical development. We'd like to thank all of them as well as our wonderful pastor, Fr. Michael J. Ryan, our proud principal, Mr. David J. Hayden, and our gracious fellow teachers at Holy Martyrs School for accommodating our practice schedules. We're grateful to all the Glee Moms who've helped with the rehearsals, snacks, and transportation throughout the years. If you would like to sign up your Holy Martyrs School student, in grades K-8, to join our glee club we ask that you complete the Registration Form and send it back to the school office asap. Students in Kindergarten, First and Second grades will join our practices after Christmas, but students in grades 3-8 can begin practicing Thursday, 9/13/07 from 3:00-5:00pm.
