Holy Martyrs Preschool

Our Preschool program builds a strong spiritual, social, and academic foundation for each child in a loving, nurturing environment.   Miss Messina and her two teaching aids encourage each child to become confident, inquisitive, respectful and resourceful students.   Children receive one-on-one attention and extra help with reading and math readiness.  Parent volunteers are also utilized as classroom helpers.

 

 

Multi-Age Settings

Our preschool classes are available to children from 3-5 years old. This setting allows for interaction between children of various skill levels, enabling children to acquire developmental and social skills such as cooperation, empathy, and sharing.  Children must be 3-years-old by September 1 to be eligible for enrollment in Holy Martyrs Preschool.

Centers-Based Learning and Flexible Grouping
Centers-based learning enables children to learn and work independently, which in turn allows them to become actively involved in the learning process.  As they work in small groups, they learn to make good choices and become better problem solvers. To better facilitate the learning process, children are grouped by age and strengths. This allows them to learn from each other in a centers-based environment while they progress at their own pace.  Curriculum includes: Social Skills, Reading Readiness Activities, Math Readiness Activities, Science, Prayers and Religion, Physical Education, Art, and Music.

 

Uniforms

For the safety of our children while they are at play, our Preschool Dress Code consists of Holy Martyrs School Gym Uniforms.  Boys & girls must wear t-shirts/sweatshirts and shorts/sweatpants that are a part of our school's uniform.  You can go to Flynn & O'Hara and Rose Uniforms to purchase these items.  We ask that all preschoolers wear sneakers.

 

Family Atmosphere

Many fun seasonal/holiday festivities add to the family atmosphere at Holy Martyrs, including the annual Halloween Party, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Pageant, Easter Activities and Field Day.

 

Scheduling/Hours
To accommodate the varying needs of parents, we offer several flexible scheduling choices. 
You can choose from 3 half or full days, or 5 half or full days with your choice of days.
Drop off time is between 7:55a.m. - 8:30a.m. All preschoolers must be in school at 8:30am.
Half day pickup time is 11:30a.m., full day pickup time is 2:45p.m.
As an added benefit, full-day students can participate in our Lunch Program and working parents can take advantage of our after school C.A.R.E.S. Program.

 

 

Preschool 2008 – 2009 Tuition Rates:

Preschool tuition rates are determined on a per-child basis according to the schedule you have selected.
